Inflation with Low Reheat Temperature and Cosmological Constraint on Stable Charged Massive Particles

چکیده
Abundance of stable charged massive particles (CHAMPs) is severely constrained by their searches inside sea water. We examine whether inflation with low reheat temperature can sufficiently dilute the abundance to evade this severe bound on CHAMPs, by taking into account their production and annihilation in a plasma during reheating phase. We argue that the abundance of the CHAMPs with mass less than 1 TeV will exceed the experimental bound, ruling out these CHAMPs, especially the possibility of the superpartner of tau lepton as the stable lightest superparticle. On the other hand, it is found that the CHAMP much heavier than 1 TeV can survive the bound, if the reheat temperature is low enough.

Late-Time Entropy Production and Relic Abundances of Neutralinos
Many models possess unwanted relics, which should be diluted by entropy production just before the big-bang nucleosynthesis. A field responsible for the entropy production may produce stable weakly interacting massive particles, if kinematically accessible. We compute their relic abundances by integrating out coupled equations numerically. Applying our results to supersymmetric standard models,...
متن کاملProduction of massive stable particles in inflaton decay.
We point out that inflaton decays can be a copious source of stable or long-lived particles chi with mass exceeding the reheat temperature T(R) but less than half the inflaton mass. Once higher order processes are included, this statement is true for any chi particle with renormalizable (gauge or Yukawa) interactions. This contribution to the chi density often exceeds the contribution from ther...

In Wesson's canonical model, the universe is assumed to be five dimensional (5D) empty space time. This model corresponds to a solution of the Einstein field equation in five dimensions which, from a four dimensional point of view, is equivalent to a universe with a positive cosmological constant. In this model, the fifth direction is perpendicular to the four dimensional space time and is not...
متن کاملAnatomy of FD-Term Hybrid Inflation
We analyze the cosmological implications of F -term hybrid inflation with a subdominant Fayet– Iliopoulos D-term whose presence explicitly breaks a D-parity in the inflaton-waterfall sector. This scenario of inflation, which is called FD-term hybrid model for brevity, can naturally predict lepton number violation at the electroweak scale, by tying the μ-parameter of the MSSM to an SO(3)-symmetr...
